ABOUT WINDESAL

In 2007 a group of businessmen recognised the potential of a technology that had been developed in Denmark. A unique stand-alone power station had been developed in 1993 which had been patented and tested by the Danish RISO Laboratory. This linked wind-turbines with diesel generators capable of producing even, spike-free power. When this was linked to a standard desalination plant, it was realised that there was considerable potential for all water poor countries.

The Company was formed in Australia in 2008 to market and deploy this system in conjunction with our European partners and the originator of the technology.

Considerable interest has been generated and a number of potential sites are currently being investigated in conjunction with South Australian government agencies. Pre-feasibility studies are under way and installation of the first plant is anticipated by the end of 2009. The Windesal system consists of medium to large engineering solutions with a fabrication and construction lead time of around twelve months.

A number of enquiries have been received from other countries which are currently under negotiation.

The Windesal team are dedicated to being part of the solution to a world-wide shortage of water.

We produce new potable water using renewable energy.

You can't get much better than that!
